Food ordering & delivery platform

Hungry Sam's — from storefront to delivery operations

More than a food-brand website: a complete Hungry Sam's build spanning the main storefront, operational backend, dedicated driver portal and delivery scheduling. A project where website design and custom software meet.

The brief

The brief went beyond a customer-facing website. Hungry Sam's needed a build that covered both the storefront and the work behind it: the backend, a dedicated driver portal and delivery scheduling. The project brought these different experiences into one platform, while keeping the customer-facing brand and the operational tools distinct. The storefront was only one part of the scope.

The build

MAIN STOREFRONT We built the customer-facing Hungry Sam's storefront, presenting the brand, menu, filled rolls, sandwiches and meal deals alongside the ordering experience. This is the public-facing entry point to the wider platform. OPERATIONAL BACKEND Behind the storefront, we built the backend and staff administration experience supporting menus, orders and day-to-day operations. The work extended beyond page design into the data and business logic that make the platform function. DRIVER PORTAL We built a dedicated driver portal as a separate working surface for delivery activity. Drivers have their own experience rather than relying on the customer storefront or staff administration interface. DELIVERY SCHEDULING Delivery scheduling formed a further part of the build, bringing delivery planning into the operational workflow alongside the storefront, backend and driver experience. THE COMPLETE BUILD The result combines customer-facing website design with custom operational software: a main storefront, an operational backend, a driver-facing portal and delivery scheduling, all within the Hungry Sam's project.

The outcome

Hungry Sam's is a showcase of the depth behind a studio-built website. The delivered scope includes the main storefront and the operational software around it, not just a collection of public pages. The project demonstrates both sides of WSM Studio's work: a brand-facing website for customers and purpose-built tools for the people running the business and handling deliveries. From the storefront to the backend, driver portal and delivery scheduling, this is a complete platform build — and a clear example of why the software behind a website matters as much as the pages customers see.
